Arts and events

London Borough of Tower Hamlets Arts and Events team aims to provide a service that is accessible to all those who live, work or study in Tower Hamlets. We promote the use of arts as a leisure activity, as a source of employment and training, and as a tool for social cohesion and inclusion.

The Arts and Events team provide the following services:

• Youth Arts Programme run by 'A' Team Arts, working in conjunction with the Youth Support Service
• Support & organise festivals and events, including the Baishakhi Mela and the East End Film Festival
• Events Fund, part of LBTH Mainstream Grants
• Arts development & advice, including Bengali & Somali arts
• Online arts & entertainment information, including email newsletters with arts information & events
• Film location contract service for film and TV production companies.
