Using council buildings

Tower Hamlets Council provides accommodation for a number of community and voluntary sector organisations in council-owned buildings.

Organisations now have to apply to use these premises, and show that they meet certain criteria and priorities. Although leases and licences are given a 'market rent' value, we provide rent relief to organisations that can show they meet our priorities.

To apply for accommodation or rent relief:

• check that your organisation meets our general eligibility criteria (word document, 37k)
• find out about our priorities for the accommodation (word document, 132k)
• apply for council accommodation for your group or organisation (word document, 30k)
• find out about our priorities for rent relief (word document, 135k)
• apply for rent relief (word document, 113k)

You should then return the forms to the community resources team.
