The national compact
The government has already established a compact between central government departments and the third sector.
The national compact aims to create a new approach to partnerships between the sectors. It sets out a shared vision and principles, undertakings by both sectors, a commitment to respect the independence of the sector, and systems to make sure that the agreement works.
