Employment & income

This section concentrates on the extent of local economic activity, unemployment issues, sectors of employment local residents and employers are involved in, qualification levels, earning levels, as well as issues around income in general and low income in particular.

Information is drawn from a variety of publications, including the 2001 Census, the Annual Local Area Labour Force Survey and other national surveys, and the English Indices of Deprivation 2004.
