Ward projections
Ward household projections have been calculated by the GLA from the 2001 Census (ONS 2003), the London Housing Capacity Study (LHCS) (GLA,2000) and Scenario 8.1 from the GLA 2003 round of demographic projections(GLA, 2004). These data have been used to project the number of households by ward for 2006, 2011 and 2016 (Table1). The map is shaded by ward (Figure 18) to show the total household spaces (the number of households) in the 2001 Census.

Percentage increases for each five year period, starting in 2001, are shown using bar charts to depict the percentage increase for each period at ward level. Percentage Increases are fairly evenly spread for each ward. 2001 baseline household density does vary by ward. The map shows that while the number of households within each ward will increase over this period, comparative household density at ward level will remain proportionately similar to what it was in 2001.
