Business, jobs and training
The London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games will bring thousands of jobs and business opportunities to East London, before, during and after the Games – in construction, administration, leisure, retail, media and many other fields. At Tower Hamlets, we are committed to ensuring that our residents are fully equipped in order to benefit from these opportunities. We will strive do this by making sure that individuals have the right skills and experience, as well as providing advice and support for local businesses.
BOOST is a job brokerage and business support scheme set up for the residents of the five Olympic host boroughs. It connects local people with vacancies in the Olympic Park, providing training and support where appropriate. The scheme works with the Olympic agencies to identify job, training, and business opportunities, and acts as a single point of contact for any vacancies that arise.
You can get more information or register with BOOST by phone on 0845 155 2012.
Tower Hamlets residents can also register with the scheme and get advice and support on other job opportunities from Skillsmatch, who are based in Canary Wharf. Click here for more information and contact details for Skillsmatch.
