British Waterways London

British Waterways London cares for and manages 90 miles of canals and rivers and 110 acres of docks in the Capital, including the River Lee, Regent’s Canal and London Docklands in Tower Hamlets.

Each of the waterways has its own special character, providing a scenic and atmospheric alternative to the hustle and bustle of city life, along them you’ll find plenty of greenery and wildlife, marinas, boat trips and a whole range of waterside pubs, restaurants, cafes, activity centres and more.

City Cruises plc

Boat Cruises on the River Thames between Tower, Westminster, Waterloo and Greenwich piers. Frequent services daily all year, evening trips in the summer, one way tickets, plus all day hop-on/hop-off tickets available. Wheelchair – friendly boats with toilets, light refreshments and bar. Evening buffet/dance cruises throughout December including New Year’s Eve.

Docklands Sailing & Watersports Centre

The Docklands Sailing and Watersports Centre was opened in 1989 and is a charitable organisation. The Centre is a recognised Royal Yachting Association approved teaching establishment, with all levels of sailing teaching.

Amongst the many boats we have are dragon boats (these take up to 20 people), Thames traditional rowing boats and canoes. We do offer membership but non-members can use the centre on a daily joining fee rate. Members can make use of boats and buoyancy.

Once the activities for the day are complete the centre offers changing room facilities, a well stocked bar with a splendid view of Mill Wall Dock, and a BBQ area on the balcony.

Thames Clippers

The Riverline joins-up the journey to work for thousands of Londoners every day and is the smart way to quickly connect into and through Canary Wharf and the City. Peak time services run from Woolwich in the East to Central London in the West, connecting to major commuter interchanges at Blackfriars, London Bridge,Charing Cross and Waterloo.

Trinity Buoy Wharf

Trinity Buoy Wharf is located on the corner of the River Thames and the River Lea. Primarily used in the 1800’s for manufacturing Buoys it is now a thriving place for the arts and creative enterprises. London’s only lighthouse is housed here as well as the innovative container city development. Visitors can also visit Fatboy’s Diner.
