Homeless finance team

The Homeless Finance Team provides a finance function for all teams within the Homeless & Housing Advice Services. We are responsible for preparing and submitting accounts and we advise budget holders and other Homeless staff on finance-related issues. We are also responsible for processing all homeless-related invoice payments within stringent deadlines, including payment of rents to landlords and agents, and other miscellaneous invoices.

We produce monthly budget-monitoring reports and quarterly Best Value Analysis Reports to monitor whether the Homeless Service is meeting the key performance indicators, and monthly accrual figures relating to Accommodation costs.

Aside from all the above duties, we are also responsible for arranging storage and transport of furniture and personal effects for Homeless clients. Clients pay a one-off charge which is calculated by assessing their benefits, the size of the property, the quantity of furniture to be stored or transported and where the items are located.
