Vulnerable and needing housing related support?
This service is for all people regardless of their tenancy arrangements. Additional criteria may apply.
The supporting people programme fund housing related outreach or floating support services in the borough. They are for vulnerable adults of all ages and backgrounds, providing a flexible service to help people establish their aims and gain, or maintain, their independence.
There are about 20 different providers of floating support across the borough, including those run by the council and other housing providers. Support includes:
- identifying your support needs;
- regular meetings between yourself and your floating support worker;
- help with benefit claims, resolving rent or debt problems
- connecting you with specialist services to help with physical, mental, drug or alcohol problems;
- helping you find new ways to meet people or join activities/ services.
