Tower Hamlets is an area where demand is greater than the supply of affordable housing. Our lettings policy is designed to target the available supply of homes to the people in most need.

We try to give the best advice to you about your prospects for housing via the Tower Hamlets housing list. We also offer information about other housing options. Whatever your reason for applying to the housing list, it will probably take a long time before we are able to offer you a home.

We treat each application to join the Tower Hamlets housing list on its individual merits. We also usually set a target each year for how many homeless households will be offered permanent housing, and we aim to let a minimum of 30% of available homes to council and partner landlord tenants.
