Gardens, lawns and tree maintenance services

The council uses an outside contractor, called Continental Landscapes, to maintain all green areas within council estates. This service covers lawn mowing, hedge and shrub-bed cutting.

Tree maintenance (branch cutting and removing areas of fallen leaves) is carried out as needed by Connick Tree Care & Turney’s.

Weed control

We use a contractor called Total Weed Control to take care of weed spraying on estate grounds.

Government restrictions on chemical use mean spraying can only be carried out four times per year. The chemicals used are not considered harmful to members of the public or animals.
