Rubbish collection & disposal

Council residents getting rid of rubbish must:

• suitably bag/wrap rubbish and put it in either a chute, bin chamber or dustbin; and
• not dispose of rubbish anywhere else in the block, communal area or estate unless it is by arrangement with the council.

Estate caretakers will move the rubbish to areas where it will be collected and taken away for disposal.

Bulk refuse disposal

If you need to dispose of large items - like furniture, fridges or other large household appliances - we provide a bulk refuse collection service. Residents are entitled to two free collections per year and five items per collection.

Dog bins

We use an outside contractor to empty the dog bins on estates weekly. If you would like to comment on this service please contact your local housing office.
