Further help with your tenancy
The council’s local housing offices deal with a wide range of issues for council tenants (and leaseholders). We can help and advise on a number of issues including:
- your tenancy agreement – ending your tenancy, getting rid of your rubbish, estate parking, tenancy agreement rules, applications to change your tenancy
- changing circumstances – moving out of your home, adaptations to your home for people with disabilities, improving your home, new tenant services, applying for garages and car spaces
- your local area – tackling anti-social behaviour, estate cleaning, support for vulnerable tenants, tackling squatting and unauthorised occupancy, getting involved with local tenant and resident groups.
Every local housing office has a free phone direct to the repairs help centre so you can report repairs simply and easily.

We also offer a tenancy support service. If you are moving to a new council home, or you are a tenant already and not coping well on your own, we can give you a helping hand.
