BSF – for School workforce

The aim of the BSF programme is to benefit the whole school community as part of the Government’s drive to raise standards in schools. All people connected to the school: teaching and support staff, pupils, parents, local communities will have a say in the future of their school.

BSF is not just about improving learning environments for pupils, it’s also designed to support the Government’s workforce reform agenda. All staff – not just teachers – will benefit from improved resources and improved working environments.

Teachers will benefit from purpose designed, well equipped and pleasant teaching and learning areas offering the facilities needed to deliver an enriched curriculum. New, more flexible learning environments will provide the technology and space for planning, preparation and assessment, helping to drive standards of learning and improve levels of concentration.

Social and breakout areas will also be improved and staff will be supported with new opportunities for personal development and professional growth through the expansion of an enriched curriculum.

News and opportunities to get involved are posted on the website regularly, come back and see what’s new.

To see what schools regenerated under BSF could look like, go to our useful documents page, and check out the ‘example designs’.
