Services
Most of the services offered to schools at the PDC are done of a subscription basis. A subscription to the Professional Development Centre provides;
- CPD administration and a term print-out of teacher/staff attendance at PDC events (cost and invoiced)
- Entrance at reduced rates to the Tower Hamlets Annual CPD Programme
- Each term Foundation Subject Heads of Department and Coordinators' meetings
- Access to web-based services, and to a regularly updated database of Consultants and Subject Specialist Advisers. This covers LEA, local and internal providers and will be lodged on the PDC web-site.
- Eligibility to hire rooms at the PDC for functions at a reduced rate. Most of these rooms are equipped with the latest in IT audiovisual and presentation technology, and further rooms with these facilities are planned.
- Room set-up and alteration for meetings, events and conferences including catering arrangements
- Eligibility to attend selected free presentations on the latest educational technologies, only available to subscribers.
- Access to the canteen and internet café
- Media and audio-visual set-up media training and loan; through the Media Officer
- Reception, car parking, and on-site reprographic and media facilities.
