Understanding Planning Policy
Planning policy consists of a series of documents that describe and manage planning and development in the borough. The ‘development plan’ for Tower Hamlets forms the basis for determining planning applications.
The Local Development Framework (LDF) is a new system for the preparation of development plans.

Tower Hamlets Planning Policy
View the Unitary Development Plan 1998 (UDP)
The adopted UDP and London Plan currently make up the development plan for Tower Hamlets.
