LAP Area 7

Local Area Partnership 7 covers East India & Lansbury, and Limehouse wards. To check which local area partnership you live in, use the LAP finder.

The local area partnership has formed a steering group which helps to organise and develop the work of the LAPs, planning events and meetings for example.

The next meeting of the steering group has been re-scheduled to Thursday 14 August 2008, 6.30 - 8.30pm (Venue to be confirmed). Please note that this will be a closed meeting open only to steering group members.
Its membership is drawn from local stakeholders. There is guidance for the operation of steering groups. Below are notes of past local area partnership 7 events and meetings.

Action plans for each local area partnership have been drawn up to help translate what residents are saying into action. Below is the current and the previous action plan:

For more information about regeneration in the east of the borough, and the work of Leaside Regeneration Ltd, visit their website.

For more information on the issues the Tower Hamlets Partnership is tackling at ward level, download the Ward Data Report. This was published in July 2006. It contains an introduction, and sections about Living Safely, Living WellCreating & Sharing Prosperity and Learning, Achievement & Leisure. The report provides key data on health, housing, crime, employment and education, and includes analysis at both ward and borough level. It also sets out the progress the Partnership has made towards achieving the Government's National Neighbourhood Renewal Floor Targets.

Also available is information about each local area partnership that has been drawn from the 2001 census. Information is also available about borough deprivation
