Car free developments
If your property is subject to a Car Free Development agreement made under Section 106 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 you will not be able to apply for any type of on-street parking permit or scratchcard.
Your solicitor should have advised you about this agreement before you purchased the property. To find out if your property is subject to an agreement check your lease or contact your solicitor or landlord.
To assist residents who live at a car free development you may apply for a temporary permit at the current rate of £5 a day to allow a contractor (such as a builder, electrician or plumber) to carry out work on the property. To qualify for a temporary permit you must provide written proof of the work to be carried out and the vehicle details. You can only have a maximum of 20 days in a rolling 6 month period.
