Your questions answered:
How long will the service run?
It will run for the duration of the closure of the East London Line, subject to usage
How much does it cost, where do I get a permit to travel?
The service is free to Tower Hamlets residents. However, you will need a permit to travel. The permit is issued on the bus during your first journey - all you need to do is produce a utility bill or similar proof of residence and a permit to travel will be issued for the lifetime of the service.
Which days of the week does it operate?
Monday to Saturday only. There is no service on Sundays or on Bank Holidays.
Where does it pick up / set down?
At Wapping - the bus makes use of bus stop C across the road from the station, just east of Clave Street.
At Surrey Quays Shopping Centre - the bus uses the disabled coaches bay next to the Taxi pick-up point close to Tesco. This is where you will be set down on arrival, and where you will be picked up from on the way home.
Is it wheelchair accessible?
The bus is wheelchair accessible. It has a tail lift and an attendant to help. However, only one wheelchair may be carried per journey.
Can I take an animal?
No – except for an assistance dog. However, only one may be carried per journey.
