What is an e-panel?

In addition to the standing resident panel, we are exploring the use of an e-panel. An e-panel is a way of bringing the council and the people together electronically.

If you find it difficult to get to council meetings and use your computer regularly why don’t you join our e-panel? You can tell us what you think from the comfort of your own home.

Is an e-panel representative of the wider community?

Unlike our standing resident panel, this will not a representative sample of the community at this stage. It is a new development so we are keen to attract anyone who is happy to participate through their computer, the only condition being that you live or work in the borough. Has the e-panel been consulted yet?

No. This is a very new development. We are looking for volunteers to assist us in the development of the panel so that we are sure it reflects the needs of the community. We would like to seek your views at every stage of the development process.
