what's new...Electoral Services canvassers will be calling at your property between Friday 15th August and Sunday 31st August 2008 asking you to confirm the details held on the current Register of Electors. If canvassers are unable to gain a response they will post the voter registration form through your letterbox. If the form is not returned by mid September, canvassers will be calling again with a reminder form between Friday 19th September and Monday 27th October. You can only vote in elections if your name appears in the register of electors. A new version of the register will be published on 1st December 2008. If your name is included you will be eligible to vote in next year's European Parliamentary election which will take place on 4 June 2008. The law requires you to give the information requested on the form even if you are already registered. So please fill it in, sign it and return it to the electoral registration officer as quickly as possible. Step by step guide to the voter registration form (PDF 300k) |
