CouncilDiversity & equalities action plan
Tower Hamlet’s Council has placed equalities at the core of its strategic plan and has committed to achieving the very highest level of the new national equality standard before 2006.
The equalities action plan reflects the headings used in the equality standard and incorporates the strategic plan actions and the actions from the council’s race equality scheme.
Progress with implementing the council’s equalities action plan is reported on a six monthly basis to the excellent public services scrutiny panel, and the council’s corporate equalities steering group.
