Gateway strategy

Since the gateway strategy's inception in 1999 it has been operating with great success, with over £15m worth of schemes being completed. That success has brought increasing demands for new projects to be added to the scheme.

There is a need to revise the strategy, building in lessons learned from the first three years and developing a clear, well-defined, framework for the future.

The gateways strategy is not an isolated initiative. The importance of the other local projects, strategies, and organisations, which form it's context, is acknowledged here.
