CouncilICT strategy 2006-2011
The council's vision is to improve the quality of life for everyone living and working in Tower Hamlets. The Strategic Plan reflects the five key Community Plan themes which are:
- Living safely
- Living well
- Creating and sharing prosperity
- Learning, achievement and leisure
- Excellent public services
The role of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) within the council is to support these objectives through the development and use of cost-effective technology.
The ICT strategy sets out, in broad terms, how this will be achieved in the context of both the current strategic plan and the wider transformational government agenda where the key focus is on service delivery.
It also sets out an action plan for year 1 which focuses on specific projects aimed at supporting the overall objectives of the council.
