Tower Hamlets diversity & race equality scheme 2005-2008
As a result of the amendment made to the Race Relations Act 1976, local authorities must consider the impact of race relations in all aspects of service delivery and be aware of the impact it can have on the community.
The Tower Hamlets race equality scheme has been produced to enable local people to see how the council is working towards achieving equality in providing services to those who are most disadvantaged.
It also looks at what improvement the council intends to make for achieving better access to services for all communities.
The Tower Hamlets race equality scheme is available as a downloadable document in word format. You can download either a summary of the scheme, or the full document.
