Births
If there is a birth in your family
in Tower Hamlets, you must submit the information to Tower Hamlets
Register Office. The Register Office also handles birth certificate
amendments, baby naming ceremonies and historical searches.
Marriages and civil
partnerships
Tower Hamlets Council can help arrange marriages and civil partner ships, renewal of
wedding vows; advising on legal requirements, issuing certificates
and help with performing historical searches.
Deaths, funerals and
cremations
It is a time of great sadness and grieving when someone you know
passes away. Tower Hamlets Council offers support in dealing with
the practical and emotional issues of death
and bereavement.
Important notice to customers
Due to a very high demand for registration services we are
experiencing long waiting times for our walk-in, non-appointment
services. Priority may be given to death/still birth
registrations.
We are looking at ways to improve this
situation and we apologies for any inconvenience caused. Please do
not hesitate to contact us for further information on 020 7364
