to joint investigations with police into child protection concerns.
Children’s services plays a vital role in the community by
providing support to people who are at risk, or having problems
coping with everyday life.

Adoption
Tower Hamlets Council facilitates fostering
and is an adoption agency. Our Permanency and Adoption Support Team
is responsible for recruiting, preparing and assessing people who
would like to foster or adopt.
Birth
registering
Birth registration is a legal process so it is
important you understand what is required. Your baby’s birth must
be registered within 42 days and you should register the birth in
the registration district where it took place.
Fostering
Fostering is caring for someone else's
children in your home. Fostering provides homes for children who
are temporarily unable to live with their own families but who wish
to maintain contact.
