Crime prevention
Tower Hamlets Council is committed to looking after your safety
and we want everyone to enjoy living, working and visiting the
borough feeling safe and confident. We take crime, harassment and
anti-social behaviour very seriously.
We are working in partnership with communities, the police, the
voluntary and private sectors and other statutory agencies to
ensure that you, your family and property are kept as safe as
possible. If you are a victim of crime, dial 999 in an
emergency.
Anti social
behaviour
We are committed to working in partnership
with Safer Neighbourhood teams to deal with anti-social behaviour
across Tower Hamlets. We provide support and assistance to
residents who are victims of harassment or activities that cause
alarm and distress to the individual or the community.
Drugs and
alcohol advice
Tower Hamlets Social Services can organise a
range of rehabilitation programmes for people who are dependent on
drugs or alcohol and wish to stop. These programmes include
treatment, support and counselling.
Hate
crime
Tower Hamlets Council works closely with the
police and other agencies to prevent all forms of hate crime and
encourages anyone who is a victim or a witness to hate crime to
report it immediately.
