Youth support

Information, services and advice surrounding youth support.

School mentoring schemes

Mentoring is a relationship between an adult and a young person that provides the young person with consistent support, guidance, assistance and non-judgemental adult advice.

Young carers: support and advice

Young carers are young people whose lives are restricted in some way because they are supporting or taking responsibility for care of a person who is ill, has a disability or mental illness or misuses a substance. The majority of young carers are from single parent families and take on adult responsibilities.

Amp

Young people can access advice on a whole range of issues from drugs and sexual health to careers by searching the council’s young person’s website amp.
