Children's social care
Tower Hamlets provides information and advice
to parents and carers looking for registered childcare, and
childcare out of school hours. We also work closely with Social
Services to make sure the welfare and safety of children in the
borough is kept as a priority.
Child protection
Children's services has a responsibility to
protect and promote the welfare and
safety of children in need.
Residential care for children
The council has two children’s homes, which provide 24 hour care
for looked after children. The children's homes provide
respite care, shorter term and longer term care.
