Pre-schools
There are a number of infant schools and
nurseries in Tower Hamlets offering pre-school education for
children under the age of five who live in the borough.
Tower
Hamlets Family Information Service also provides
information for parents and carers who are looking for private and
voluntary day care. This includes information on local initiatives,
childcare providers, nursery education grants, working tax credit
and childcare tax credit.
Applying to a
nursery school
Nursery education is offered to children from
birth to five years, but some nurseries will only take children
from age two.
Nursery and
childcare funding
The nursery education grant provides financial
assistance towards the cost of private nursery, playgroup or
childminder fees.
