Recycling in Tower Hamlets is quick and easy. It’s about making a simple choice between putting items in your bin or recycling them.

Even better than recycling is reducing the amount of waste we produce in the first place and this can save you lots of money too.

Waste collections

Tower Hamlets Council provides a weekly refuse and recycling collection to residents and figures released for April to September 2013 show that a staggering 2.27 million collections have taken place over that period.

Over the Bank Holiday period there will be changes to your normal refuse, recycling and food and garden waste collection arrangements. Your waste, recycling, food and garden waste collections will also be affected.

Normal services will resume from Monday, January 5, 2015.

Please ensure your waste and recycling (including food and garden waste) is available for collection before 7am on your scheduled collection day.
