Tower Hamlets Community Primary
Schools Admissions Policy for 2013/14
Equal Chance System for Tower Hamlets children and
families
The public consultation on
changes to the school admissions policy for Tower Hamlets community
and voluntary controlled primary schools for 2013/14 has now
closed. Taking account of a number of views expressed, the
Local Authority determined its final proposals, which were
considered and approved by the Council's Cabinet on April 4,
2012.
The determined admission
arrangements for Tower Hamlets community and voluntary controlled
schools can be viewed at www.towerhamlets.gov.uk/schooladmissions.
This webpage now focuses on the
changes to primary school admissions that concern the parents of
children who will start primary school in September 2013 or
later. The
Equal Chance Factsheet and the list of
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) explain the new admission
system, which include new catchment areas for community primary
schools.
To find out which of the new
school catchment areas your address would fall into, please use
the address
finder tool. Simply enter your postcode or the first line of
your address to view the list of community primary schools in your
catchment area.
Please also look out for the
new admissions brochure, 'Starting School in Tower Hamlets'
that will be available from a local primary school this September.
Information will also continue to be available on this
website.
