Capital Expansion Scheme
The London Borough of Tower Hamlets
Directorate of Children, Schools and Families are currently in
the middle of an exciting modernisation programme to expand a
number of existing primary schools.
This capital funded programme addresses the
current trend in population growth and migration within the borough
while focusing on improving school facilities and learning
environments. Tower Hamlets has identified particular schools
with a need for more pupil places. Our strategy for expansion has
been developed in consultation with the schools and a range of
partners and stakeholders including children, parents, local
communities and elected members of the council.
Children, Schools and Families have
commissioned to lead the projects as both project clients and
project managers, the borough’s Building and Technical Services
team will develop a brief and design proposal as well as overseeing
the construction of the following schemes:
