Homelessness prevention: mediation
Mediation is a process that works with people
who are in dispute with one another. It aims to help them
resolve their problems.
We know household disputes can reach a point
where a member of the household is asked to leave. The
mediation service is there to help resolve these disputes and
prevent homelessness.
The mediator is independent and impartial and
is there to help each person to communicate better. The
mediator will ensure that both parties are able to express their
views.
The service is free of charge and everything
discussed is confidential, unless there are concerns over the
safety of anyone involved.
