Disabled people: independence at home
Home care (sometimes called domiciliary care),
is a range of services provided in your own home that help you to
stay independent.
The service meets the main care needs of
adults aged 18 or over living in Tower Hamlets who may have
difficulties related to ageing, chronic disease, disability or
mental health problems.
Access to the service depends on meeting the
eligibility criteria, which will be determined through a community
care assessment.
Depending on the assessment of your needs,
home care can assist with:
- personal care tasks such as washing and dressing
- daily living tasks such as getting up
- preparing drinks or light snacks
- shopping
Domestic support to maintain safe and hygienic
standards
