Apprenticeships
We are recruiting for apprentices aged 16-19 to begin in
September 2010.
What is an apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship allows you to learn on the job, building up
knowledge and skills, gaining qualifications and earning money all
at the same time. You work towards a work-based qualification such
as a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) and other recognised
qualifications.

Apprenticeships are.

Is an apprenticeship for me?
We are particularly promoting opportunities for young people
leaving school in July 2010, or who left school last year.
There is a lot of competition for places, so you will need to show
that you are committed and aware of your responsibilities to both
yourself and the organisation that would employ you. You also
need to be happy to work as both part of a team and individually
and be able to use your own initiative.
What are the entrance requirements?
- Grade D or above in GCSE English and grade E in GCSE maths (or
equivalent)
- 16-18 years old
- Residents of Tower Hamlets preferred
How do I apply?
Current vacancies are always advertised in East End Life and
here on the Tower Hamlets website. Find out about our current
vacancies.
If you want to talk to someone about your application, please
contact the Family Information Service on 020 7364 6495.
What happens next?
Successful applicants will be invited to assessments and
interviews in August. If you are successful, the
apprenticeship will start in September.
