Olympic and Paralympic job opportunities

The London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) are staging the Games in 2012, a series of Test Events this year; recruiting volunteers; and overseeing the 4 year Cultural Festival leading up to the Games.

The Games will bring thousands of job opportunities to East London – LOCOG is committed to help local people access the many opportunities that the Olympics will provide.  LOCOG and its contractors who will be recruiting for hundreds of jobs within retail, catering, cleaning, waste and security to work at Olympic Venues before and at the Games.

Skillsmatch are working closely with LOCOG to help Tower Hamlets residents access these opportunities to work on the Greatest Show on Earth!

Working for LOCOG directly

Starting with just 50 staff in July 2005, LOCOG remained a relatively small organisation until the end of the Beijing Games in 2008.  But by the time of the 2012 Opening Ceremony they will employ around 3,000 staff. Roles in the organisation range from sports competition managers and project planners to cultural curators and functional specialists
