Postal votes
If you wish to vote and cannot get
to the polling station on the day of the referendum, then you can
arrange for a postal vote. Anyone can have a postal vote as long as
they are on the Register of
Electors.
To have a postal vote you must
complete a postal vote application form, providing your
signature and date of birth. You can request an
application form by calling the Electoral Services Office or by
placing a tick in the box in the Absent Vote column on your voter
registration form.

London Authority (GLA) Elections
Deadline for
receipt of your postal vote application form
is 5:00pm Wednesday April 18, 2012.
Your postal voting pack will be
delivered around Monday, April 23. Please read the
instructions with it carefully before completing your postal ballot
paper.
Complete your postal vote as soon
as possible. The Returning Officer must receive your postal vote by
10:00pm on Thursday May 3, 2012 (polling day).
Please note: if you are
granted a postal vote, you will not be able to vote in person at a
polling station.
Replacement postal vote packs
If you did not receive your postal
pack, have lost or spoilt your ballot paper or postal voting
statement, please contact the Electoral Services Office.
Please note: The
elector will need to come in person to the Electoral Services
Office with two forms of identification -photo ID (such as
passport or driver’s license) and proof of residence (such as
an utility bill).
- Replacement of spoilt / lost postal ballot papers will
commence on Friday April 27, 2012 at the Electoral Services
Office.
- The last day to re-issue spoilt / lost postal ballot papers is
5:00pm Thursday May 3, 2012.
