Nursing agency licence
Any agency which supplies nurses to hospitals, old people’s
homes or other outlets can only do so if they are licensed. This
applies to employment agencies or any organisation or individual
operating in this area of work.
In April 2004, responsibility for the licensing and enforcement
of nurses' agencies passed from the Council to the new Commission
for Social Care Inspection (CSCI). For more information

New providers of these services will be
required to register with the CSCI before they can commence their
operations.
