Mile End Art Pavilion

Mile End Arts Pavilion

The Mile End Art Pavilion is a stunning gallery space with a glass frontage overlooking a small lake available for hire by artists. Set within Mile End Park and buried in a grass bank the Mile End Art Pavilion is the perfect space for exhibitions and installations.

This large well lit space can be adapted to display the work in a number of ways and is of a sufficient size to allow for collaborative exhibitions. The Mile End Art Pavilion is just 20 minutes from Bond Street on the Central line and only a 5 minute walk from Mile End Underground Station.

The first impression of this building is the light flooding in, followed by the vastness of the space. There are a number of panels that can be used to subdivide the space as required. Large imposing support structures lend the space a contemporary feel. The building is completely accessible to those with disability.

How to get there

Mile End Park has produced a unique set of maps to provide a step-free journey  to assist our visitors with disabilities. The enabled maps offer a step-free route from Mile End Underground Station to the Art Pavilion.

The Arts Park

Linked to the Ecology Park by a path and cycleway under a railway viaduct the Arts park is set to become an established arts venue with East London’s arts communities.

The Mile End Park Art Pavilion is an earth sheltered building in a formal landscape setting dominated by the water pools which it overlooks.

The Mile End Park Art Pavilion is used for a range of arts events and activities including exhibitions, poetry readings, arts workshops, providing opportunities for local artists to exhibit their work and perform for others.

The Park includes an “art mound” which has been used to showcase outdoor art and which provides an opportunity to get a birds eye view of the rest of the park and up and down the Regents Canal.
