Online
renewals of resident permits now live
This is a new service being rolled out to all
residents. You can renew your resident parking
permit online if you have received a renewal letter
containing your unique webcode, and none
of the details of your permit have changed.

Renewal reminder letter
Permits are no longer printed at the One Stop Shops and cashiers
office therefore customers are required to renew their permits at
least 5 working days before the expiry date.
A renewal letter will be posted at least six weeks before the
permit is due to expire. This letter will include a unique Web code
to enable you to renew online.
If you do not receive your renewal letter within 2 weeks of the
permit expiry date you should contact Parking Permits by:

Renew online
To renew your permit online you will need:
- your permit number
- the unique web code from your renewal letter
Renew
your permit (no change in details)
If your details have not changed you can renew your permit as
follows
- Online -
credit or debit card payments only
- Tel: 0207 364 5003 – credit or debit card payments
only
- Post: Permits Processing, P.O. Box 62475, London E14 1GL –
cheque or postal order
- In person: One Stop Shop – credit or debit card payments
only
- In person: cashiers office – all methods of payment
(excluding free permits)
If you are renewing by post or in person you will have to
provide your renewal letter.

Tower Hamlets Council wishes to prevent fraudulent applications.

Frequently asked questions
Can my permit be renewed after it expires?
No, you will have to make a new application in person.
What happens if I do not receive my permit by post?
You should allow 5 working days to receive your permit. If you
do not receive it you should contact Parking Permits (as stated
above) and they will post another one.
Can someone else renew on my behalf ‘in person’?
Yes, providing you have signed your renewal letter.
Can someone else renew my permit either online or by
phone?
You will have to agree to the applicant’s declaration or the
terms and conditions. Immediately after someone else can then pay
on your behalf.
If I do not renew my permit within 5 working days of the expiry
date and my permit expires before I receive the permit, what can I
do?
You can purchase a temporary parking permit at £5 a day or
scratchcards.
What is the earliest date I can renew my permit?
If you need to renew your permit earlier than 6 weeks before the
expiry date you will have to put your reason in writing for us to
consider your request. We will contact you within 5 working
days.
I have problems receiving my post.
You will have to contact Royal Mail.
