Local recycling centres
There are over 50 local recycling centres located in the borough
collecting the following materials:
- Mixed glass bottles and jars
- Food and drink cans
- Plastic bottles (no other types of plastic please, only
bottles)
- Mixed card
- Mixed paper
- Cartons
- Aerosols
- Telephone directories
There is no need to separate the different materials, they can
all go in to the same container mixed. The mixed recycling is taken
to a facility where it is sorted and separated.
Please do not put any other materials including black sacks or
food waste in the recycling centre purple bins.
Some sites also have charity recycling bins for clothes, textiles,
shoes and books.
