Cycling is an efficient, cheap, healthy, non-polluting mode of
transport. The council wishes to encourage cycling to help improve
mobility, reduce traffic congestion and improve health in the

Work has now commenced on the Cycle Superhighway2
(CS2) upgrade between Bow and Aldgate. Upon completion, the
cycle route will be segregated for most of the way. The first phase
of the work is taking place along Mile End Road and Bow Road
between Harford Street and Harley Grove, and Whitechapel Road
between Commercial Road and Cambridge Heath Road. For further

There will be a Family Cycle Training Course in Victoria Park
from Tuesday, May 26 to Friday, May 29, 10am to 12noon open to
parents of children in years 3-6 who have not previously received
