London. Full details can be found at www.tfl.gov.uk/barclayscyclehire.
There is a network of over 100 Barclays Cycle Hire docking stations
in Tower Hamlets, providing 2,700 docking points and over 2,000
bikes. Locations of docking points in the borough are
available through the website linked above, or by clicking on this
local
cycling map.
Getting a
cycle
Take a cycle, ride it
where you like, then return it, ready for the next person. Bikes
are available 24 hours a day, all year round. It’s self-service and
there’s no booking. Just turn up and go. It’s best for short
journeys in or around the borough.
How to hire a
bike
· Become a
member online
· OR buy
access at any docking station with a credit or debit card, as a
casual user
Consider becoming a
member if you think you will use Barclays Cycle Hire regularly –
you’ll receive a cycle hire key (£3) which gives quick and easy
access to any cycle directly at the docking point. Full details can
be found through this
link.
Costs
You pay for the right to
hire a cycle (access fee) and for the amount of time you’ve got it
(usage).
Usage costs are the same
whether you’re a member or not, though members can buy the most
cost-effective (annual) access. The costs are shown by clicking on
www.tfl.gov.uk/barclayscyclehire
then click on ‘costs’.
