Environmental health and protection deals primarily with
contaminated land and is best placed as a first point of contact as
it is involved in assessing planning applications for new
developments.
It can put you in touch with people who can help with the
interpretation of results and recommendations for a variety of
construction projects.
These include:
- slope stability assessment
- foundation design for buildings and other structures
- mining subsidence problems
- material acceptability
- road pavement design
- contamination problems
