Disability sport
Tower Hamlets has a strong tradition of supporting
disabled sport and physical activity.
Events
The London Youth
Games comprises of over 30 sports with 7 being
disability sports (boys' football, boys' and girls' boccia, boys'
and girls' athletics and boys' and girls' swimming)
Panathlon an inter borough
competition including New Age Kurling, Boccia, Table Cricket,
Polybat, Wheelchair Slalom, Boccia and Football
Challenge East is a school
sports event between 10 East London Boroughs. The three
events are multi sports (Boccia Polybat New Age Kurling),
Sportshall Shine and Gymnastics
Inter Borough Disability
Swimming is a gala for disabled adults and children
against the 10 other boroughs in East London. The event takes
place every year.
