Tower Hamlets residents can dive in and take
advantage of a host of free swimming opportunities.
Big Splash swimming offer
As part of the BBC / British Swimming Big
Splash campaign to get the UK in the pool more often and
to help people learn to swim ahead of the 2012 Olympics;
London Swimming have launched swimming offers with
the aim of getting 20,000 more Londoners swimming more
regularly.

Free Swim Friday
All Tower Hamlets residents can swim for free
on Fridays during public swimming times, which start from 9am and
run until close, at the borough’s pools. They simply
have to swipe their leisure centre membership card at
reception. Non-members can sign up to become a member at their
local centre - it costs between £2.35 and £5.00 for the year.
Women swim sessions
Tower Hamlets woman and girls are being
encouraged to swim. They have the choice of 12 single sex swimming
sessions which take place every week.
The cost of a session is £1 for Leisure Centre
members. Non-members can sign up to become a member at their
local centre - it costs between £2.35 and £5.00 for the year.
Under 16s
Tower Hamlets continues to make swimming accessible for under
16s who can swim free at certain times and also swim for £1 at
other times. Check for details at your local swimming pool.
