2008 Mile End East Ward by-election
The results of the by-election held in the Mile End East Ward,
Tower Hamlets, on Thursday 20 November 2008 are as follows:
- Hafiz Choudhury (Respect) 604
- Jainal Chowdhury (Liberal Democrat) 110
- Motiur Rahman (Conservative Party Candidate) 630
- Rachael Mary Alice Saunders (Labour Party Candidate) 1208
Therefore, Rachael Mary Alice Saunders is duly
elected to serve on Tower Hamlets council.
The turnout for the election was 31.43 per cent.
