There’s more to London 2012 than sports, culture and a carnival atmosphere! The Games will also bring thousands of job opportunities to East London – one of the areas of the capital where they are needed the most. Around £9million has been committed to help local people access the many opportunities that the Olympics will provide.

In the run-up to the Games, the majority of these jobs were in the construction sector. However from now on there are opportunities starting now working directly for LOCOG (see the LOCOG direct page on this site or visit www.london2012.com/jobs ) where there are a wide variety of job vacancies including within sectors such as;

Administration, Catering, Retail, Hospitality, Cleaning, Security, Transport, Ticketing and many more sectors.
